Why anchoring matters most for light sheds
Resin and thin-gauge steel sheds are light for their size and present a large flat wall to the wind. Empty, right after assembly, is when they are most likely to shift or lift. Anchor before you load it. The corner-plus-long-wall rule this calculator uses is a general guideline; your kit manual, and in some coastal and high-wind areas your local code, can require more.

Do resin sheds need to be anchored?
Yes. Resin sheds are light and catch wind like a sail, especially while empty. Most resin kit manuals include anchoring instructions, and several brands sell anchor kits for their own sheds. On a slab use concrete anchors; on gravel use auger anchors driven into firm soil beneath the stone.
How many anchors does an 8x10 shed need?
Four at the corners plus one along each 10 ft wall in a typical yard: six in total. In an open or coastal site, space them every 6 ft, which adds more along the long walls and the gable ends. Always follow the kit manual if it specifies a number.
Can I anchor a shed to pavers?
Pavers are not a good anchoring surface because they are loose units. Drive auger anchors between or beside the pavers into the soil beneath, or set anchors in a small concrete footing at each corner before laying the pavers.
